Our website sets cookies in your browser to enable some of its essential features such as remembering what is in your basket and whether you are currently signed in.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that is downloaded onto ‘terminal equipment’ (eg a computer or smartphone) when the user accesses a website. It allows the website to recognise that user’s device and store some information about the user’s preferences or past actions.

Cookie categories

We have categorised the cookies we use based on the International Chamber of Commerce guide as follows:

  • Strictly Necessary
  • Functionality
  • Performance
  • Targeting

Strictly necessary cookies

'Strictly necessary' cookies are essential to the operation of the website. They enable features such as the ability to log in to your account and to remember the data you submit as part of the booking process. Without these cookies the booking process will not work and you will not be able to make purchases from us online.

We use 'strictly necessary cookies' to:

  • Remember the items in your basket while you are shopping in the current browsing session
  • Remember that you have signed in to the website

We currently set two necessary cookies:

  • A cookie called "SESS" - this cookie exists only for the duration of the browser session and allows us to remember things you have told us in that session so we don't ask again and maintain the list of items in your shopping basket
  • A cookie called "CT" - this cookie lasts for a month and remembers that you have signed in to your account. If you sign out this cookie will be deleted. Manually deleting this cookie will have the effect of signing you out.

You can view these cookies by opening your browsers cookie viewer (if it has one).

Functionality cookies

'Functionality' cookies are used to provide services or remember settings outside those preferences associated with a user account you may have with us.

We do not currently set any functionality cookies.

However our card payment provider Stripe may leave a cookie if you ask them to remember your card during checkout so that they can detect you next time.

Performance cookies

'Performance' cookies enable the collection of anonymous information about how you use websites, the types of pages you visit, and problems you experience. The information can be used make improvements to the way the site works, understand the interests and motivations of customers and measure how effective our communications are. Your permission is required to set cookies of this type.

We do not currently set any performance cookies.

Targeting cookies

`Targeting` cookies are connected with services provided by third parties (e.g., ‘share’, ‘like’ and ‘tweet’ buttons). Those providers provide their services in return for recognising that you have visited our website. Your permission is required to set cookies of this type.

We do not currently set any targeting cookies, and we don't have any direct integrations that set them either.

Refusing cookies

Generally you can change your browser settings to accept or refuse all cookies, choose which cookies you want or don’t want, or ask to be notified when a cookie is set.

Use the help feature in your browser for more specific information on how to configure cookie usage for that particular browser.
